Nigerian Police are holding the goat while they complete inquiries
Vigilantes took the animal to police, claiming it had been a person trying to steal a Mazda 323.
"The group of vigilante men came to report that while they were on patrol they saw some hoodlums attempting to rob a car," Kwara state police spokesman Tunde Mohammed said.
"They pursued them. However one of them escaped while the other turned into a goat.
"We cannot confirm the story, but the goat is in our custody."
He went on: "We cannot base our information on something mystical. It is something that has to be proved scientifically, that a human being turned into a goat."
Belief in witchcraft is widespread in parts of Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation.
People have been flocking to the police station to see the goat, photographed in one national newspaper on its knees next to a pile of straw.

Man Kills Wife for Changing Facebook Status to 'Single'
Friday, January 23, 2009

A man murdered his estranged wife after he became “enraged” that she had changed her marital status to single on the social networking site Facebook.
Edward Richardson, 41, was found guilty of stabbing to death Sarah Richardson, 26, a hairdresser, in her parents’ house in Staffordshire on May 12 last year.
Fiona Cortese of the Crown Prosecution Service said: “Richarsdon became enraged when Sarah changed her marital status on Facebook to single and decided to go and see her as she was not responding to his messages.”
Stafford Crown Court heard that Richardson, a carpenter from Biddulph, Stoke-on-Trent, had sought out Mrs Richardson in her parents house and entered by breaking the front door window.
“Once inside he found Sarah in her bedroom and subjected her to a frenzied and brutal attack with a knife and then attempted to take his own life,” said Ms Cortese.
She said: “We hope that today’s guilty verdict will go some way to easing the pain of Sarah’s friends and family after losing her in such a violent and abrupt way.”

Mr President: Barack Hussein Obama!!!
Via: CNN
President Barack Obama promised to tap the virtues and resiliency of Americans as his administration ushers in an era of accountability and improved dialogue with the world. President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden watch the inaugural parade outside the White House.
He thanked those who sacrificed so much so "a man whose father, less than 60 years ago, might not have been served at a local restaurant can now stand before you to take a most sacred oath."
An estimated 2 million people crowded the National Mall and surrounding area that encompasses the Capitol, White House and Lincoln Memorial. They sang, danced and waved flags as Obama's swearing-in approached Tuesday.
"This is America happening," said Evadey Minott of Brooklyn, New York. "It was prophesized by King that we would have a day when everyone would come together. This is that day. I am excited. I am joyful. It brings tears to my eyes."
Many in the crowd seemed moved as Aretha Franklin belted out a rousing version of "My Country 'Tis of Thee" before Joe Biden was sworn in as vice president.
Wearing a navy suit and red tie, Obama repeated the oath of office, his hand on the same Bible used in President Abraham Lincoln's first inauguration.
When Obama took the podium, however, the jubilant crowd grew somber and quiet, hanging on his every word. There was only scattered applause -- punctuated by an occasional "That's right" or "Amen."
Obama acknowledged the challenges facing the country and boldly asserted, "Know this, America -- they will be met." He promised to end petty squabbles on Capitol Hill, bring "old friends and former enemies" into the fold, and invoked the Bible, saying, "The time has come to set aside childish things."
He also vowed to leave Iraq to its people, responsibly, and to finish forging "a hard-earned peace" in Afghanistan. To Muslims, he promised "a new way forward, based on mutual interest," and to terrorists, he leveled a threat: "You cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you."
He vowed to tackle the nation's economic woes forcefully and guaranteed accountability among those who handle taxpayer dollars. But the economy is not all that is reeling, he said, referencing "a sapping of confidence across our land -- a nagging fear that America's decline is inevitable."
The challenges are daunting, he said, but anyone who underestimates this nation has forgotten about its past perseverance.
"Greatness is never a given. It must be earned," he said.
His words resounded with spectators and revelers who let out deafening cheers after his address. Spectator L.J. Caldwell likened Obama to some of the most heroic figures of the civil rights movement.
"When you think back, Malcolm [X] fought. Then we come a little further, Rosa Parks sat. Then come up a little further and [the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.] spoke. Then today, President Obama ran and we won," said Caldwell, of Somerset, New Jersey.
After the address, hundreds of thousands remained on the National Mall as Obama went inside the Capitol and signed his first documents as the 44th president of the United States. Among those were his Cabinet nominations. The Senate approved most of those nominations later in the day.
"I was told not to swipe the pen," Obama quipped after signing a proclamation of national renewal and reconciliation.
Obama then lunched with lawmakers at the Capitol's Statuary Hall, telling them, "What's happening today is not about me. It is about the American people.
Americans, he said, "have come together across races and regions and stations. Now we have to do the same. Now it falls to us, the people's representatives, to give our fullest measure of devotion to the cause of freedom and liberty and justice, decency and dignity."
Later, the crowds flocked to barricades along Pennsylvania Avenue as Obama's motorcade crawled by.
Many said before the festivities that they did not have tickets and would be happy to catch a mere glimpse of the nation's first African-American president.
At St. John's Episcopal Church, where the Obamas kicked off a packed day of festivities, 9-year-old Laura Bruggerman waited with her mother, Wendy, and father, Jeff, of Bethesda, Maryland. The affable crowd tried to let shorter onlookers and children to the front for better views.
"I want to see Obama. I think that would be really cool. I could tell all of my friends that I got to see him," the youngster said.
Some spectators were more than a mile from the swearing-in ceremony, watching on giant TV screens erected along the National Mall.
Security was tight in Washington. The effort involved the Secret Service, 8,000 police officers from the District of Columbia and other jurisdictions, 10,000 National Guard troops, about 1,000 FBI personnel, and hundreds of others from the Department of Homeland Security, the National Park Service and U.S. Capitol Police.
The ceremony also drew celebrities like Dustin Hoffman, Denzel Washington and Steven Spielberg.
"It's behind the dream. We're just here feeling it with the throngs of people. It's amazing grace personified," Oprah Winfrey said, sitting next actor Samuel L. Jackson.
Obama and congressional leaders formally bade farewell to Bush, and the now-former president took a presidential jet to Midland, Texas, shortly afterward.
As Obama and his wife, Michelle, made their way to the White House, they stepped out of their limousine amid another round of boisterous hoorahs.
The first couple beamed as they walked down Pennsylvania Avenue, waving to the throngs kept back by police barriers. They walked a few blocks before returning to their vehicle to finish the two-mile parade that took them to the White House.
"I have a sneaky suspicion that Barack and Michelle will be out and about on the streets of Washington [during his term]. ... You'll see them again," said Tracy Miller, who was watching the Obamas.
Upon arriving at the White House, Obama and his family entered a reviewing stand to watch the rest of the inauguration parade. The Obamas will close the night by attending 10 official inaugural balls.
After a day and night of events celebrating his historic presidency, Obama and his family will officially take up residence at the White HouseThursday, January 15, 2009

BIDS FOR 22 YR OLDS VIRGINITY!!!
"File the following under 'Money's tight; times are hard'" writes For What It's Worth: 22-year-old Natalie Dylan (she's using a pseudonym for safety) is auctioning off her virginity to the highest bidder in order to pay for her master's degree (via Telegraph.co.uk). Dylan is from San Diego and has a degree in women's studies. "No offense to the ladies--Hey, it's your body and if you can make a couple bucks off of it during these trying economic times, god bless you--they always claim to be making some sort of feminist statement or are majoring in Woman Studies like that is somehow relevant to engaging in the oldest profession in the book," writes Jossip. The story broke last September at The Flint Skinny, but is receiving new attention now that bids have hit $3.7 million. "I guess chastity is worth something these days, which seems to have surprised even young Natalie Dylan," writes Principled Discovery--Dylan told the Telegraph, "It's shocking that men will pay so much for someone's virginity, which isn't even prized so highly anymore."
"Is it simply that there is too much money in the hands of stupid people?" wonders Agelessbonding. "The moral outrage is predictable. Some will undoubtedly ask what sort of 'example' this sets for other young women across the nation," writes The Moderate Voice. "To that, all I can say is that if your daughters are looking to an internet hooker as a role model you need to take a long hard look at your parenting skills. Give the girl her fifteen minutes of fame, a one time payday, and let her live with the consequence

Is there a cost for getting into a relationship???

The other day i was listening to the Frank and Wanda show and they mentioned this woman who posted an article on craigslist seeking for a relationship. The interesting about this certain woman was different from any regular woman seeking a relationship, usually the woman that seeks a man usually wants to settle down have kids and wants the man to have strong qualities, have a good job, and so on, but this woman was not looking for the regular relationship. This woman was looking for a man that made over $500,000. She said she wants to skip the dating scene and get on to marriage. Now a thought came to my mind when i heard this. My first instinct was that she is a gold digger, and why would you want to go to straight into marriage when you dont really know who you're dating. Now she continues by mentioning that she dated a man that made $200,000 but it did not last because his finances where too small for her shopping habits and that caused problems. A lot of ppl called in to share what they thought about this 25yr old woman seeking a rich man. One man repsonded to her post which made me really laugh. He reponded by saying that he really admires the fact that she is open about what she wants, but he continued by saying that he was an investment banker that generated more than $500,000/yr. He said because you are young, your beauty is still there but beauty will get old and fade away and what are you left with....NOTHING!!! He then says in investment terms if you were a stock you would not be a buy and hold, we would sell you as soon as possible because your beauty would not last long, if i were to date you i would lease you in investment terms.
I totally understand that she is a driven woman, but for you to marry someone its about love not money. Material things will not last forever, and simple minded ppl don't seem to understand that. The number one cause of divorces is financial problems in the household. The funny thing is that they say these vows about being with their spouse till death to them apart, for richer or poorer, you mention these vows in front of ppl and in front of God but you end up going seprate ways. Why say these vows if money is going to be the cause of marital problems. FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL!!!!
when things dont work out!!!
Do you ever have that problem or that some one that causes you so much pain and you just want to go some where away from them, in my situations its usually the outcome of something that i put so much thought into it and ends up flopping where i just want to sail away into the sunset, a place where i know i can enjoy the weather, a place full peace and serenity. i was listening to one of my favorite songs by Avant on his new album which made me think of the hard times we come across and how we are so quick to get mad and lash out at someone when we can just find a get away place to run away and find peace.when i listen to the song by Avant i begin to believe in miracles and that there is place on this earth where my fantasies can come true. I sit here and listen to the words and i realize that i should never take life for granted, especially when things never go my way, like the saying says what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. The time i heard this song i pictured myself running away to place like heaven where i could just have no worries.
